Synergy of the Conferences
By hosting both the UICC World Cancer Congress 2006 and the 13th World Conference on Tobacco OR Health, the American Cancer Society is hopeful of creating a dynamic synergy between the world’s oncology community and its tobacco control cadre. There is a crossover event that links the end of the UICC Congress and the launch of the tobacco conference. Here we plan to dynamically illustrate the global tobacco control problem, and use the estimated 10,000 joint attendees to make a global impact or statement.
